This album features Peter in an acousitc jazz trio playing jazz standards in a tradiional style. For example, Coltrane’s “Footprints” features the first recorded example of Peter’s “humbingbird” technique. Other notable selections are the beautiful rendition of the ballad “My Foolish Heart” by Victor Young and a classic New Orleans tag on “Take The A-Train” by Duke Ellington. The album was recorded on December 12th, 2003 around Christmas in Oakland. The name of the group was Quiet Dignity and featured New Orleans pianist Joshua Paxton and the Bay Area’s David Ewell on bass.
